Samsung camera repair starts at $60 at all three BuyCellFix locations. That covers replacing a front or standard rear module, including calibration and testing across every lens. Telephoto and periscope units on Ultra models cost more because the parts do. If the fault turns out to be a cracked lens cover rather than the module itself, the repair is cheaper — the free diagnostic tells us which.

Most Galaxy camera repairs are done the same day. On models where the camera array sits under a bonded rear panel, we also need adhesive cure time, so plan for a few hours rather than twenty minutes. Samsung Authorized OEM modules at our Montreal location take 1-3 business days, and telephoto or periscope units can take longer to source.

That’s the first thing we check, because the difference in price is significant. The glass cover over each camera is a separate piece from the module underneath. If photos are hazy or flared but the camera otherwise focuses and records normally, it’s almost always the cover. If the image is black, badly out of focus, or the app crashes, the module itself has failed. We won’t quote a module until we’ve ruled out the cover.

Almost certainly. On most Galaxy models the camera lens covers are part of the rear glass assembly, so a drop that shatters the back very often takes the lens covers with it. Even hairline cracks scatter light across the sensor and make every shot look foggy, especially at night or against bright backgrounds. Fixing the back and the lens covers together is usually cheaper than doing them in two visits.

Both. Rear modules are reached from the back of the phone; front cameras sit behind the display, whether they’re punch-hole or under-display, so the screen has to be lifted to reach them. That makes front camera work more involved but entirely routine for us. On foldables there can be four or more cameras, and we test every one of them before the phone goes back.

Samsung no longer supplies OEM modules for most of these, so we fit quality replacement units — image quality is very close on older sensors, and we’ll show you sample shots before you pay.
