From there, REM to Bonaventure or Édouard-Montpetit, then transfer toward Snowdon. Acadie metro (Blue line, on the TMR/Parc-Extension border) is also walkable from eastern TMR — the Blue line goes directly to Snowdon (5 stops, no transfers). Real Google reviews from Montreal customers.
“I had a charging port which I was concerned was damaged but was merely blocked by stubborn debris. The person working the shop handled my trifling issue with grace, speed, and good humour and didn’t charge me for the brief amount of labour. A high-class experience for sure.”
Marcello C. · Google · Montreal“They replaced my broken screen the same day and comes with warranty. Touch response and display quality are perfect. Highly recommend this shop for screen repairs.”
Henry I. · Google · MontrealIndependent on-island town. Population ~21,000. Strong Jewish + Greek/Italian/Lebanese established families. New REM station + Acadie Blue line on border.
Town of Mount Royal — almost universally called TMR — is an independent on-island municipality of about 21,000 residents, designated a National Historic Site of Canada for its 1912 planned garden-suburb design (one of Canada’s most significant urban planning experiments). The town’s signature curving streets, mature tree canopy, central park axis, and consistent Tudor / Cottage / Tudor-Revival architecture make it one of the most visually distinct neighborhoods in greater Montreal.
Main arteries: Avenue Lucerne (eastern entry from Décarie), Boulevard Graham (the commercial spine), Boulevard Laird, and Avenue Brookfield. The community has a strong established Jewish community alongside multi-generational anglophone Mediterranean families — Greek, Italian, and Lebanese — with a substantial number of successful first-generation immigrants and their children. Transit options improved significantly in November 2025 when the new REM Ville-de-Mont-Royal station opened in the town, replacing the older exo train station. Acadie metro on the Blue line sits on TMR’s eastern border. Notable landmarks: TMR Town Hall, Connaught Park, Reginald J.P. Dawson Library, and the TMR shopping strip along Avenue Graham.
