Most Galaxy charging port repairs take under an hour and are done same-day at all three locations. Samsung Authorized OEM assemblies at our Montreal location take 1-3 business days because parts come through Samsung’s authorized supply chain. Board-level charging IC work takes longer.

Start with the cable and the wall adapter, since those fail more often than anything inside the phone. If a known-good cable still won’t hold, it’s the port. If the phone charges fine but dies quickly, it’s the battery. We test all three during the free diagnostic so you only pay for the part that actually failed.

Often, yes. Pocket lint compacts at the bottom of the port until the cable can’t seat fully, which looks exactly like a dead connector. We check for that first and clear it at no charge. Don’t dig at it with a pin yourself — bent pins turn a free fix into a paid one.

We solder. On most Galaxy models the USB-C connector is soldered directly to the mainboard, so it has to be removed under a microscope with hot air and reflowed without lifting the pads underneath. Some models use a flex-cable daughterboard that unplugs, and those are quicker. Either way it’s board work, which is why many shops send charging port jobs out.
