How long should a new battery last?

Will I lose my saves and games?

No — battery replacement doesn’t touch the internal storage. All saves, eShop games, profile data, and microSD card content stay completely intact.

My battery is swollen — is that dangerous?

Yes. Swelling lithium-ion batteries can ignite if punctured. Stop using the Switch immediately, don’t try to charge it, and bring it to us. We handle disposal safely.
